I love The Barefoot Contessa - Ina Garten. I own and cook from all of her books because they are tried and true kitchen tested recipes and all delicious. I was fortunate to have been invited to East Hampton this weekend to have lunch at Ina Garten's beautiful home with some of my dear friends. It was taped for an upcoming episode on the Food Network. It was an incredible day and Ina was even better than what I had hoped she would be like - fun, sweet, charming, and so welcoming.
Lunch with friends!
Visiting Ina's home, for me, was like an Elvis fan going to "Graceland"
Lunch with a view of the garden
This is where it all started for me
She loved signing a page that clearly had been used many times
This, however, is from the much anticipated new book to be released in October
She shared some of her favorites. Scalloped Tomatoes I love!
It was a day I will never forget.
Thank you Ina!
Run don't walk to pre-order her new book
What a treat to have lunch with Ina -- it looks like it was a beautiful day. I loved your pumpkin photos -- I just stocked up on some beautiful cinderella pumpkins.
ReplyDeleteI saw your work on House of Turquoise -- very nice balance of color. I especially love the damask footstool (do ottomans have to be square?).
Happy Fall.
Greetings, I am visiting per the recommendation of my blogging friend, Erin at House of Turquoise. (http://www.houseofturquoise.com/) Erin did a wonderful post on you today. Your interior designs are outstanding. And may I say that I am SO impressed that you went to Ina Garten's house! Oh Lord, I have been watching her show, the Barefoot Contessa, on Food Network for years. She is my favorite. My son makes fun of me saying that I think I am personal friends with her and that she is my Hero! Anyway, can't wait to see you on her show. You are so lucky!
ReplyDeleteBest regards,
Gloria
P.S. Did you see Jeffrey?? LOL!
